21 February, 2024As part of its sustainable growth and social responsibility programs, Palacios Roca has launched two photovoltaic energy generation plants at its headquarters and logistics warehouses in Mercamadrid. An initiative linked to self-consumption with renewable energy sources supported by the IDEA, the Community of Madrid and the European Union.
The already operational plant of Palacios Roca, S.A. It is located in its facilities and corporate headquarters in the F3 auxiliary warehouse in Mercamadrid, with a power of 232.73kWp/22kWn intended for cooling its fruit and vegetable warehouses for the national and international large distribution markets. The second plant, also already operational, is located in Ship F4, also in Mercamadrid, where Félix Palacios, S.L. It has its refrigerated warehouses that supply the market itself. In this case it is an installation of 145.52 kWp/110kWn of power. Altogether, the investment has exceeded 287,000 euros.
Félix Palacios has more than 8,000m2 of facilities in Mercamadrid, including warehouses, offices and a logistics platform, as well as nine wholesale sales positions in the market itself. Between both Companies, around 200 tons of fresh products are moved every day: Premium quality fruits, vegetables and natural juices.
