Palacios Roca, the first Spanish IFS Wholesale company

Palacios Roca, S.A. has reached a new milestone in the fruit and vegetable wholesale sector by becoming the first Spanish company to obtain the IFS Wholesale and Cash & Carry Version 3 certification, a recognition issued by SGS, the world leader in testing, inspection, and certification.

Achieving this certification reinforces Palacios Roca, S.A.’s commitment to excellence, transparency, and continuous improvement—values that have positioned the company as a benchmark in the wholesale distribution of fruits and vegetables. It also strengthens the confidence of both national and international clients, especially in the retail sector, which is increasingly focused on working with suppliers that guarantee the highest standards of safety and quality.

The IFS Wholesale and Cash & Carry standard is specifically designed for the food wholesale sector and sets the most demanding requirements in terms of food safety, quality, food defense, and food fraud prevention. This internationally recognized standard ensures product safety and traceability throughout the entire supply chain, covering both food and non-food operations, and includes complementary processes such as cutting, packaging, and labeling.

With seven decades of experience, Félix Palacios operates more than 8,000 m² of facilities at Mercamadrid, including warehouses, offices, and a logistics platform, as well as nine wholesale sales points within the market itself, from which it handles around 200 tonnes of fresh produce every day. Fruits, vegetables, and premium-quality Felixia natural juices are the core of the company’s business.
